We are working on a groundbreaking active-active reference architecture that integrates Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres with SharePlex.

      Laying the groundwork

In an increasingly competitive market, the ability to deliver seamless, high availability solutions is paramount.

This is why a collaborative effort involving our Centre of Excellence team and the Fujitsu Vietnam Pre-sales team has been established to push the boundaries of this in-demand architecture.

      The collaborative team

I am leading this initiative with Nishchay Kothari alongside 2 people from our Vietnam office. Together, we are working on a groundbreaking active-active reference architecture that integrates Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres with SharePlex, the database replication software from Quest for high availability, scalability, and interoperability between platforms.

      Why this is important

Active-Active architecture is a game-changer for businesses that require constant uptime and resilience. In this setup, two or more databases are actively handling read and write operations, ensuring zero downtime even during maintenance or unexpected failures.

This collaboration aims to deliver a robust, tested, and validated active-active reference architecture, providing our clients with the reliability and performance they need to stay competitive.

      Key use cases

      • Disaster recoveryroundel-car-crash-01

Ensure business continuity by having an always-on setup where one database can seamlessly take over if another fails.

      • Load balancingroundel-justice-scales-01

Distribute workloads across multiple databases to improve performance and handle higher traffic volumes.

      • Geographical redundancyroundel-globe-01

Maintain synchronized databases in different geographical locations to serve local users with minimal latency.

      • Maintenance and upgradesroundel-screwdriver-and-wrench-01

Perform system maintenance or upgrades without affecting the availability of the database service.

      Why you should be interested

This architecture not only enhances reliability but also provides scalability and flexibility, allowing businesses to adapt quickly to changing demands. By integrating Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres with SharePlex, we leverage the strengths of both platforms to deliver a solution that meets the highest standards of performance and availability.
