      New releases in the world of OSS PostgreSQL

      • PostgreSQL 16.1, 15.5, 14.10, 13.13, 12.17, and 11.22 have been released

        The PostgreSQL Global Development Group has released an update to all supported versions of PostgreSQL, including 16.1, 15.5, 14.10, 13.13, 12.17, and 11.22.

        This release fixes three security vulnerabilities and over 55 bugs reported over the last several months.

      • Pgpool-II 4.5 beta1 has been now released

        The Pgpool Global Development Group has announced the availability of Pgpool-II 4.5 beta1.

        This is not intended to be used in production, but it is close to the release version. Users are encouraged to test it out.

      • pgAdmin 4 v8.0 has been released

        The pgAdmin Development Team has released pgAdmin 4 version 8.0.

        This is a new major version of pgAdmin 4. In this upgraded version, the community incorporated updates to essential components such as Flask, Werkzeug, and various other modules.

        Notably, the default installation path for Windows installations has changed, and the version folder has been eliminated. Consequently, users are advised to perform a manual uninstallation of the previous version for a seamless transition to the new release.
