      Fujitsu is excited to announce the release of Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres 17. This is the new major release with the below details.

      This release has various interesting features around operations, performance, and monitoring. The list below outlines some features of this version.

      • PostgreSQL rebase
        • Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres 17 is based on PostgreSQL 17.0
      • Operations
        • Vector-enabled database for building data infrastructure that can be used safely and easily for AI applications
      • Monitoring and management
        • Operational database monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch
        • Privileged user management with CyberArk Privileged Access Manager

      • Performance
        • Scheduling of an aggressive freeze for tuples (VACUUM FREEZE)
      • Supported operating systems and platforms

        • SUSE Linux Enterprise: 15 SP4 or later minor version
        • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform: 4.14–4.16
        • Kubernetes: 1.27–1.29
